Delete account
Last updated: 29 July 2026.
This page explains how to request the deletion of your Uncle Predictor account and associated data, what is deleted and within what timeframe.
How to request deletion
Send an email to unclepredictor@gmail.com with:
- The subject "Delete account".
- The email you registered with, or your nickname / participant code, so we can confirm your identity.
The request is handled within a maximum of 30 days and you will receive confirmation by email once it is complete.
What data is deleted
- Account data: name, nickname, email address and participant code.
- Predictions, pre-predictions and scores.
- Comments and reactions.
- League membership.
- Notification identifier (device token).
A note on ongoing competitions
There is one case in which the deletion of game data cannot be immediate, and it is worth explaining it clearly.
Each participant's rarity bonus is calculated from the predictions of everyone else: the fewer people predicted the same result, the more extra points. Deleting the predictions of an account in the middle of a competition would retroactively alter the already-published scores of third parties.
For that reason, where there are predictions recorded in an ongoing competition:
- The account's identifying data - name, email, nickname, notification token - is removed or anonymised straight away.
- The prediction records, already dissociated from your identity, may have to remain until the end of that competition, to preserve the integrity of the other participants' scores.
If you have no predictions recorded in an ongoing competition, deletion is complete and immediate.
Retained data
We do not retain personal data after the account is deleted. If any legal retention obligation exists, it will be communicated at the time of the request. Anonymous technical logs, which do not identify you, may remain.
Other rights
In addition to erasure, you have the right of access, rectification, restriction, portability and objection to the processing of your data. See the privacy and cookies policy.
